Day 10: If you're standing near a road in Ethiopia, it’s common to find yourself in a big cloud of dark-colored exhaust as a truck passes by. Many people find this very bothersome, sometimes even causing difficulty breathing, nausea, and headaches. Some people find the black boogers...well, less than appealing. 

My dad is a welder and repaired farm equipment when I was a kid, and there were often old tractors and trucks in our yard—and exhaust is just part of that package.
