Day 3: Tim's heart on fire. Tim didn’t go into med school thinking he would be a general surgeon, but once he got further into his rotations, he LOVED it. It fit him so well—he loves to fix things, loves a challenge, and just plain loves surgery. But he was also interested in missions, and wasn’t sure how surgery and missions fit together. I remember the day he first heard about the Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons, which trains and disciples African surgeons…it was like the clouds parted and he found the thing that made all of his passions fit together.
Tim said this day’s post is too much about him, and that #31daysofcalling is supposed to be about me. But I say that after 13 years of marriage, it’s hard to separate that out. When I saw PAACS ignite that spark in him, it was absolutely beautiful and I wanted it to keep burning🔥 When you love someone, it’s easier to also love the things that make them really come alive. So this post is about me, too 😉 #lovesinethiopia
